HELLO BLOGOSPHERE

The decision to write a blog does seem to be, for many somewhat intelligent out-of-work creative people of my generation (hipsters to those over 35), a somewhat difficult one. Sure, there are those of us with enough personality to spew a diary onto the net and get followers, and others who rock the gif-verse, but then there is a small percentage of us who get hit with the fear.

“I’m not funny! I’m not the voice of my generation! What if no one reads this? If no one reads it I don’t care. But if an employer finds it and thinks it reflects my work ethic or my writing - oh my god what if it does???”

Eh, you can only sustain anxiety for so long.

So here it goes - this blog is becoming a blog. With regular entries and everything. I’m going to blog to keep my brain in shape for dealing with this mixed up entertainment industry. I’ll blog about movies I watch and sets I work on and job boards I find. And maybe if anyone reads this, it’ll help some former film student out. That’d be cool.

So here it goes. My musings, and from time to time be guest posts by fellow former film students. I’ll wrangle ‘em in somehow.

Cheers,

Sz (The Schizo)
